"Ms. J" started training in Dance, Baton Twirling, and Acro at the early age of 2 and was competing by the age of 5. She was a member of various performance dance groups and the Canadian baton team contingent for many years training with renowned instructors and choreographers from both Canada and around the globe. While Ms. J has always loved performing and training, she knew even early on, her ultimate ambition was to mold and enrich young performers by opening the world of arts and artistic sports in becoming a teacher. By the age of 10, Ms. Jennifer was already assisting classes. She was so impressive in her work, that by the young age of 13, she was awarded with her first class. At the age of 17, Ms. J branched out on her own and started teaching independently. 8 years later she founded Magic N Motion Studio in 2005. Ms. J and her students have been awarded the Order of Sports Excellence Award many times, numerous scholarships awards, competition honors, national titles, and choreography awards including being the winner of an industry dance award. She has worked as a judge and mentor and is the proud mother of three beautiful children. Ms. J's passion for her students and teaching is well known. Her achievements at a young age are an example to the students that with discipline, training, and a lot dedication, all dreams and goals are attainable.
Kaylah Drozda Associate C.S.C.-C.I.C.B.

Miss. Kaylah began dancing in her home town of Sudbury Ontario. There she studied with Caroline Udeshini and attended the Performing Arts High School, Sudbury Secondary. She graduated as a dance Major in the enriched program and received the Terpsicore and Dance Troupe awards. Miss.Kaylah achieved Cecchetti grades examinations with Ms. Caroline and was also a competitive dancer in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical & Modern.
She Graduated from the Teacher Training Program at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in 2008 where she received her teaching certificate with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and her Associate with the Cecchetti Society of Canada. Within the program she studied pedagogy, Russian and Cecchetti syllabus, mens work, creative movement, pre ballet, jazz, anatomy and music. Miss. Kaylah also taught in the satellite program as well as assisting within the professional and recreational programs.
Miss. Kaylah has put many dancers through accredited Cecchetti ballet exams. She is the secretary for the Cecchetti Provincial Committee for Manitoba and has assisted with numerous Cecchetti society events held at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Miss. Kaylah is head of the ballet program at Magic N Motion studio and also heads up the production of our annual production of the "Nutcracker". She has received many special awards for her demi-character work at competitions in Canada & the US.
Her students have been accepted into the Professional Division as well as the Teacher Training Program at the RWB and the Professional Division at the National Ballet of Canada. Miss.Kaylah is currently working towards her level 2 Anatomy and an Associate Diploma with the Cecchetti Society of Canada. She also continues to train to enrich her skills as a teacher with workshops and education events. She is also the proud mother of two budding ballerinas!

Ms. Jennifer has been at Magic N Motion since the age of 10, training in every style offered at the studio. She trained extensively in Baton Twirling, competing at numerous national and world championship competitions including the 2014 international Cup competition in Amsterdam where she placed first in the level B Team division. She has obtained her certification in N.C.C.P. part A & B and is a Level 2 coach under CBTF. She is a member of the Manitoba baton board as the coaches rep. Ms. Jennifer has since changed her focus to Hip Hop dance and trains under Project Company with which she was a part of the first team from Winnipeg to ever compete at the Hip Hop International Championships. She continues taking classes and workshops of all styles in the city and nationally to continue improving her dance ability and staying up to date with evolving dance styles. She recently graduated at Red River college in the business administration program majoring in accounting.

Ms. April brings with her over 13 years of dance experience. Since the age of 4 she has been dancing with Magic N Motion. She has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acro, Lyrical, Contemporary, Pointe and Stage. She has competed successfully in many competitions in Canada and the United States and has had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles to train at The Edge and further her passion for dance. During her years at the studio she has taken ADAPT Jazz and Tap exams and Cecchetti Ballet exams. Ms. April has attended the Toronto Dance Teacher Expo to expand her teaching material and continue learning. Teaching young dancers is something Ms. April has grown to love endlessley. She hopes the students in her classes learn how much fun and expressive dance is. Her goal is to instill a love of dance into each dancer she teaches, as her teachers did for her. Ms. April is anxious to give the students an opportunity to learn skills they can use for years to come, and is excited to bring her passionate love of dance to the students at MNM!
Ms. Taylor has been dancing at Magic N’ Motion for ten years and has been competing for over 7 years. She has studied in the styles Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Pointe, Stage and Acrobatics. Ms. Taylor has always been especially enthusiastic about the style of acrobatics, which led her to acquire her module 1 acrobatic arts certificate. She also had the chance to work with international circus arts teachers to further her knowledge and grow so that she could apply this to her future students and classes. During Ms. Taylor’s training at Magic N’ Motion she has successfully completed Cecchetti Ballet Exams as well as winning judge’s choice awards for many of the solos she has competed. Dancing at Magic N’ Motion has allowed Ms. Taylor to travel in the past year to New York to further her passion, training and love for dance. Ms. Taylor’s goal as a teacher for your child is to instill in them a confidence that they can carry with them for the rest of their life. She wants each student to leave feeling accomplished and excited to become more enriched in the art of dance with each class.
Originally from Calgary, Alberta Ms. Sasha’s love for dance began at a young age. To further her dance education after high school, she moved to Winnipeg. In June 2017 Ms. Sasha graduated with a BA (honors) in dance from the School of Contemporary Dancers in affiliation with the University of Winnipeg. While in school Ms. Sasha had the opportunity to work with many esteemed teachers and choreographers from across Canada and International; she has also studied dance pedagogy, composition and lighting design for stage. With the School of Contemporary Dancers Ms. Sasha had the opportunity to perform in the 2016 Canada Dance Festival. Post graduation Ms. Sasha traveled to Mexico to perform in the show “Creando Lazos a Través de la Danza” (Creating Bonds Through Dance) with GPS Dance Collective, which she is a founding member of. She has also participated in projects with Stephanie Ballard and Dancers: Landscape Dancing, Odette Heyn Projects with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, NAfro Dance Productions, Dancers’ Studio West: Dance Action Lab and a Choreographic Mentorship with Johanna Riley. Ms. Sasha looks forward to teaching and sharing her love of dance with students at Magic n’ Motion!
Laura Cartlidge Module 1 acrobatic arts-Certified circus arts teacher-NCCP level 2 artistic gymnastics coach
Ms.Laura was an MNM troupe member in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary & Acro, also training in Ballet. Before MNM, Ms.Laura was a competitive artistic gymnast for 9 years. During the time in gymnastics, Ms.Laura competed in the Western Canadian Gymnastics Championships in British Columbia representing team Manitoba in 2012. After Retiring from gymnastics in 2013, she became an Artistic Gymnastics coach. When Ms.Laura came to MNM, she brought with her, her love of acro, which later made her want to pursue the other styles of dance. Ms. Laura loves teaching acro and is happy to have started her journey in teaching our new circus arts classes. Ms.Laura enjoys the safe & encouraging environment that Magic N Motion provides and is happy to be teaching the children acrobatic skills at such a fun place !
Ms. Alex has been dancing at Magic N Motion since the age of 3. She has studied Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Stage, Baton, Modern, and Pointe as well as extensive training in Ballet. During her training at Magic N Motion she has successfully completed ADAPT Jazz and Tap exams as well as Cecchetti Ballet exams. She attended the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and trained in the Professional Division for 3 years. She returned to Magic N Motion to continue her dance training in all styles for the past 2 years, and graduated high school this past year. Throughout her 15 years of dance she has enjoyed being a competitive troupe member, which has allowed her to travel across Canada, and parts of the United States. She recently travelled to New York City as part of her training, which was a highlight in her dance experience and has further instilled her love and passion for dance. This past year Ms. Alex has started her teaching career and is very excited to continue teaching as well as dancing this year. She looks forward to sharing her love of dance with her students, and hopes to pass on the many skills she has acquired throughout her career!
Ms. Jocelyn began dancing at the age of four and started competing at the age of seven. She began her training in Ballet, Tap and Jazz, adding to her repertoire Pointe, Acro, Modern, Stage, Contemporary, Circus Arts and Lyrical when she joined the Magic ‘N Motion family in 2009. Ms. Jocelyn’s training has been furthered with such opportunities as training for four weeks with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Division and travelling to both Los Angeles and New York to train in world renowned facilities. Ms. Jocelyn has successfully completed many Cecchetti ballet exams and has been recognized positively at dance competitions in both Canada and the United States, receiving multiple special awards for her group and individual performances. Ms. Jocelyn is very much looking forward to the opportunity to share her skills and passion for dance with each of her students!
Ms. Haley started out in gymnastics at the age of 7. She was successful in many competitions throughout her 5 years as a competitive gymnast. Ms. Haley had always had an interest in dance and after retiring as a gymnast decided to take acro and baton twirling at Magic N Motion. Ms. Haley has now been dancing for 7 years and has been trained in jazz, ballet, pointe, acro, contemporary, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Ms. Haley has had experience assistant teaching dance classes in styles including hip hop, jazz, and acro to train for her to teach her own classes. Dance has allowed Ms. Haley to perform and win many group and solo awards. She has also had many travel opportunities across Canada and around parts of the United States such as Los Angeles where she danced at Edge Performing Arts Centre and New York City to dance at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Centre. Ms. Haley has recently graduated high school and is looking forward to starting university in the fall and is employed at American Eagle Outfitters at st. vital mall. Ms. Haley looks forward to sharing her love for dance and to teach her students many lessons she has learned throughout her dance career!
